New Zealand commented: "sincerely thank you for your considerable assistance and cooperation in staging the warm up matches at your venue during the past week. We have received very good feedback about the quality of the venues for the warm up matches and you have paid a huge part putting in the time required to get your match wickets to the high standard which allowed the players to exhibit their skills . Given Tuesdays wet weather it was a testament to your work and knowledge of your block which saw all the teams get a good game of cricket despite the loss of some time."

The Club and Representative Awards evening for the season was held on Tuesday 14th April at the Aurora Centre, Burnside High School.
It was a fantastic evening and the perfect way to put the spotlight on some outstanding performances from Canterbury's best. The evening, hosted by Canterbury Crickets own Mike Harvey, celebrated achievements from teams at all levels of senior cricket.
Congratulations to Mandie Godliman for her recognition of contributions to Cricket in Canterbury being awarded the 'Female Coach of the Year 2009'.
