Specialist individual One-2-One coaching is the only form of coaching that focuses exclusively on the individual player. Sessions can be tailored to suit the individuals needs ensuring new skills are developed whilst bad habits can be corrected.
Richard Lough
After completing a Diploma in Parks & Recreation Management at Lincoln University Richard pursued a career in Supermarket Management. His coaching experience includes 10 years with Lincoln University Rugby Club coaching teams from U21 to Division1 Metro. A halfback & opening batsman by trade, his return to cricket's been guided through people he's met & learnt from the years as part of the Coaching Solutions team. His passion is to find ways that allows every player to train & play at their individual highest level. Richard has been coaching for Coaching Solutions for 7 years, he now has extensive experience coaching many club and school teams as well as individuals. Cost $50 per hour. Christchurch.
Balvant (Bal) Shivlal
Bal completed his postgraduate studies and found that business was the correct path for him. With 25+ years of successful business and a strong passion for sports he was a huge supporter and sponsor of club cricket for many years. As a captain, top order batter who also evolved from medium pace bowling to a spinner he brings a wide variety of knowledge. He believes an emphasis on strong basic skills sets a solid foundation for players to grow, be confident, and use those skills in game situations. He’s coached at Stac, Medbury, Cathedral Grammar, Boys High and OBC. Success starts with motivation, goal setting, and bringing them to fruition by discipline, focus and hard work. Cost $50 per hour. Don Lough
Back in his playing days Don played cricket & rugby at senior level in Canterbury & Otago. A career in project management took him overseas for 20 years, on his returned to New Zealand with a young family he re-engaged with his passion of coaching. Last season saw Don coaching at OBC, Medbury & Boys High. Don’s guiding principle is focused on enjoyment & is built around developing batting, bowling & fielding fundamentals. This breeds confidence, creates enjoyment & results in positive contributions. He encourages individuals to learn, challenge & achieve. This is supported by a strong belief that “balance in sport” and is essential for junior cricketer to succeed. Cost $50 per hour. Christchurch.
